11/2/2017. I walked in my local Home Goods with a cooking pot to return . I just HAD to try to return a " De Silva" Terracota Cooking Pot that I have purchased about 2 months ago. I did not keep the receipt. I mean its not like everybody keeps receipts for ALL and ANY of the cookwear you buy, especially when you expect it to work!! ............. Back to the story: I used the pot twice immediately after I bought it ....with a 2 day break in between. I am a home cook and I do my homework when it comes to new utensils and things like terracota pots that I have not used before. Apparently they are God's gift to us when it comes to cooking. I tried to post 3 pictures. 1 shows how the cooking liquid is sipping through the pores of the pot while in the oven. the other 2 pictures show MOLD after WASHED, DRIED AND STORED properly for 1 month. Yes I had no receipt but they could have given me at least a 10 $ store credit or something ( it cost me $24 or 25.. And I asked if they can look up the brand in their system. She said No.)...... I shop there ALL the time. Is it appreciated by the manager? NO.. I told the manager since she wont give me store credit and will not help at all, she can keep the pot and cook in it herself. My gift to her. And gave her the pot. Left so upset. Ruined my day. PS: Apparently terracotta cooking clay pots that allow the liquid to sip through while cooking are NOT glazed correctly/baked/sealed properly during their construction process.. This is why THIS pot was garbage.
